ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR

This studio project was in response to the 2022 Steelcase Next Student Design Competition. This year’s project was for a home robotics company’s office, located on the 6th floor of a commercial building in Boston, MA. The given program led to site analysis and mind mapping, concept and schematic development, space planning and design development, and a full construction document set.

CONCEPT: INTEGRATE & EVOLVE

Integrate & evolve strives to do just that–integrate at-home and in-office work and evolve by adapting to technological advances and changing employee expectations. Integration also extends to Next Robotics’ diversity and inclusion as well as integrating Next with the local Innovation District.

Evolution reaches from the development of home robotic products to the growth of the Next company. Integrate & evolve dictates the Next office plan by organizing spaces according to stillness, integration, and evolution among employee interactions and activities.

WORK CAFE

NEXT Robotics’ Work Cafe rendering and interior elevation. This space is an evolving area when considered on the evidence-based research space planning diagram. With views to the Boston Harbor, NEXT employees can take a break to eat lunch with daylight and a view. Additionally, the variety and flexibility of seating and technology allows various work teams and events to take place in this space.
